Electric Stimulation

Electric stimulation can provide numerous benefits for patients undergoing rehabilitation. Techniques such as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) are widely employed to alleviate pain, reduce muscle spasms, and enhance recovery. TENS works by delivering low-voltage currents to the skin, effectively blocking pain signals sent to the brain, which promotes a sense of relief for patients struggling with chronic pain conditions.
Meanwhile, NMES engages muscles through electrical impulses, helping to maintain muscle strength and improve coordination, especially in individuals recovering from surgery or injury.
